Bella Bicicletta!

The name Benotto has been famously associated with great achievements in cycling since the 1930′s. Today Benotto is a successful cycling brand in Latin America with a growing international demand for its comfortable yet classy bicycles.

Embarking on a new North American distribution, Benotto wanted a site that showcased their offering of modern bicycles whilst still giving a generous nod to their long running history in the cycling community. In short: tying together their past and present.

Benotto provided us with some wonderfully captivating photographs from their archives as well as some initial shots of their new line of bicycles. The bold colours and sturdy frames of the bikes inspired a modular layout that wove together the company’s rich history with their fresh and lively new merchandise. As well as incorporating the historical footage, we also used some playful imagery to add a lighthearted and cheeky quality that contrasted the serious historical overtones.
Since the site was small in scale, the navigational elements were kept simple yet strong.

With the main intent being to present and exhibit their entire North American line of bicycles to their fullest, we really wanted to clearly communicate the various styles and options of the two collections within the line as well as highlight the unique aspects of each bicycle. We also incorporated an extensive filtering feature into the main bikes page so as to allow the viewer to compare different qualities within the full collection. This feature will become even more helpful as Benotto continues to expand their line.

Being avid cyclists ourselves (we truly believe that there is no better way to get around your city) we were delighted to work on a project that promoted and supported this fine method of transportation.
